How does Penile Erection happen ?

Healthy Penile Erection requires 4 components to happen : 1-  Psychological / Visual / Sensory Stimulation. 2- Normal Neurological tree ( from the brain to the penis ) free of inhibitory circulating medications. 3- Normal Hormones ( most importantly Testosterone ). 4- Normal Vascular Structures in the Penis ( both arteries and veins ). Any interruption or lack of these four factors can cause Erection failure. We study all four factors and any other risk factor in the patient’s general health that could be contributing to Erection failure or causing weak Erection and we treat it. 70% of Erectile Dysfunction patients have Vascular ED ( i.e. Poor blood flow to the penis ).
