Dr. Aji has completed his General Surgery training in New York City SUNY University, Methodist Hospital and his Vascular Surgery Fellowship at Saint Francis Medical Center in Roslyn, New York, he pursued a busy private practice in General and Vascular surgery in the USA for more than 15 years during which he held multiple academic positions before moving permanently to the UAE in 2006 where he founded a chain of successful specialty Clinics under the name of VeinCure Clinics in collaboration with local hospitals.
Dr. Aji is no longer associated with VeinCure Clinic or the Emirates hospital, he moved on to forming his new and expanded center of excellence “ LaVen Clinic Group “ , a group of Specialist surgeons dedicating their entire practice to advanced , innovative and minimally invasive laser treatments of common Venous, skin and Proctology conditions that are traditionally treated by conventional painful or disfiguring surgeries.
Dr. Aji strongly believes in “Focused specialty“ i.e. limiting someone practice to few things he/she does well, the days of “ General Surgery “ are gone, Focused Specialty is in, this is the only way we can refine and advance our work.
He limited his practice to 3 interconnected fields:
- Veins (The Art of erasing unsightly veins).
- Proctology (Changing the way we treat Proctology disorders).
- Few Cosmetic concerns he loves to do (Graceful Aging concept).

- Author of “Safe Answers for the AB of Surgery, USA”, the most commonly used reference for the preparation for the certifying oral Board exam in the US, published first Edition in 1994, reprinted and revised for 14 times over the years, last Edition 2014.
- Author of “Advanced Proctology Course“, 5 DVDs representing collections of HR media of 100 Proctology case chosen out of 5000 cases performed utilizing innovative laser based techniques, USA based course limited to 12 surgeons per year.
- Author of “Advanced Phlebology Course“, 3 DVDs representing collections of HR media of 100 of cases completed at VeinCure Clinic, Private course.
Dr. Sarmad Aji is married , he has two daughters and loves Reading, History, Economics, Gourmet food and Art.
